Also heavy rifle fire. Battalion fortunate in having no casualties. 17.45 fire died away and nothing further occured of note.

21 Sep Suvla Bay In front line trenches. Relieved by 6th RDF and moved back into reserve dugouts vacated by 6th R Munster Fusilers. 2nd Lt R S Clay returned to 6th RDF.
22 Sep Suvla Bay In reserve dugouts. 6.30pm the enemy opened violent bombardment on Brigade on left at Sulijik, ceased 6.45pm.

27 Sep Suvla Bay In reserve dugouts. 19.00 very heavy rirle fire opened by both sides along the whole line. Battalions opened very heavy rifle fire on Turkish trenches. Turkish guns also fired. Fire dies down and finally ceased at 20.30. A Coy and 2 platoons of B Coy reinfored 6th RDF. Casualties, other ranks, 1 killed, 2 wounded.
28 Sep Suvla Bay In reserve dugouts.
29 Sep Suvla Bay Relief by us at 2pm of 6th RDF, this cancelled. Later orders came to go to C Beach and embark on Ss Abassieh.Battalion was relieved at 22.45 by 6 S Lancs and proceeded to C Beach.
30 Sep Mudros Embarkation completed on to Abassieh at 04.00, arrived at Mudros at 09.15 and disembarked at Mudros East. Arrived at camp at 12.00 where battalion bivouaced for the remainer of the day. Strength of officers 13, plus 2 attached.
