April 1918 - 10th Royal Dublin Fusiliers
On 3 April 1918 the 19th Entrenching Battalion was ordered to pass its men to the 24th Division. The CO objected, stating that they would prefer an Irish Division. Hence it was absorbed by 16th Division, which it joined 4 April 1918.
There is little record of what it did between that date and the disbandment of 19th Entrenching Battalion in early May 1918. Their casualties indicate that they were involved in an action on 4 April 1918. One would assume that this action was with 16th Division. The Germans called off their offensive on the 5th April, and fighting in this sector ceased.
