- Lieutenant Gerald Aloysius NEILAN 10th Battalion from Mount Harold Terrace, Dublin. Aged 34. Son of John Neilan, of Ballygalda, Roscommon.Killed 24 April 1916 at the Mendicity Institution on Usher Island. Buried at Glasnevin Cemetery. Shot by a sniper on Ushers Quay. His younger brother Anthony was taking part in the rising with the Volunteers and was deported to Knutsford Detention Barracks. His parents were John Neilan &

- O'NEILL 2nd Lt J later Killed in action 13 Nov 1916. During the Easter Rising The assault on The Daily Express offices was successfully carried out under very heavy fire
by a detachment of the 5th Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers under Second Lieutenant F. O'Neill. SDGW records him as 5th Battalion but CWGC as 10th Battallion. He was gazetted to 5th and would appear to have been with them on the assault on the Daily Express offices.

CWGC gives him as 5th Battalion, SDGW gives 10th Battalion The 5th Battalion were trained into Dublin at 3.45am on Tuesday 25h April, on balance he would appear to have been in 10th battalion to have been killed on 24 April.. Kinawley C of I Graveyard. Enlisted in Enniskillen. Family tradition says that he was on leave from the Western Front and recalled to the colours while in Dublin. Taken to Adelaide Hospital
